Leo, 2026-10-24, sharing Lawrence's screenshot of Claude Code's background panel:

"leo dynamic workflows"

idk how we wanna display but here

What it does

The display for Claude dynamic workflows already landed: the transcript card (#27019, #24983), Session Info's workflows with phases and agents (#24953), live agent rows (#26990), the workflow side tab (#27000) and the progress tray (#28164). All of it sat behind workflowLabs, which only Advanced > Labs (the preview push) turned on, and no host sends a workflowLabs event. So with default settings, nobody saw any of it.

This turns it on by default, following the rulebook: a feature Leo asked for ships on, not in Labs.

  • App.tsx: workflowLabsEnabled starts true. The Labs preview push no longer switches workflows on or off. A host workflowLabs push of false still hides them.
  • Gallery frame: a state shows workflows unless it sets workflowLabs: false, to match the app.

The change is webview only, with no Swift. Risk: workflow agents now show as the workflow card and in Session Info's workflow section, so they leave the plain Subagents list. That is what Labs users already see. Removal-sized; nothing else changes.

Design spec: design/agent-pane.md (no settled design changes; only the default).

Agent session: agent session

Summary by cubic

Shows Claude dynamic workflows by default instead of gating them behind Labs, where only Advanced > Labs turned workflowLabs on and nobody saw them.

  • workflowLabsEnabled now starts true; the Labs preview push no longer toggles workflows, but a host workflowLabs push of false still hides them.
  • Gallery states show workflows unless they explicitly set workflowLabs: false, so the tray states keep covering their lines.
  • Workflow agents now appear as workflow cards and in Session Info's workflow section instead of the plain Subagents list.
