Summary by cubic

Adds real HTTP integration coverage and tightens error handling in network transports.

  • HTTP integration test now boots the bundled example server on a random port and verifies a full echo call; previously it only printed a notice.

  • TCP, UDP, text, and GraphQL transports now surface connect, send, and encode errors instead of failing ungracefully.

  • CLI transport test now expects a decoded table from nested calls, matching actual behavior.

  • CI installs luasocket and runs the integration suite; make check now includes integration tests.

  • Version bumped to 1.4.0 across changelog, README, and archive targets; README provider example path fixed to examples/provider.json.
