Summary
- Replaces all 7 README feature screenshots (
apps/marketing/public/images/readme/). The old set was seven identical full-window captures of one busy 3-pane layout — the feature being sold was a tiny sliver of each frame. Each image is now a targeted capture where the feature reads large.
Why / Context
The README is our GitHub landing page and the repo converts poorly relative to its traffic. Competitor READMEs (orca, herdr) treat the README as a product landing page with one focused visual per feature. Ours had a feature wall, but every cell showed the same screenshot at full-window zoom.
How They Were Made
- Staged a demo org in the dev desktop app via CDP: two demo projects, five task workspaces, with real Claude / Codex / OpenCode sessions doing real work — the diff stats, working spinners, done dots, port detection, and rich-input mention chip are all genuine app state, not mockups.
- Captured at 1120×720 @2x per the changelog screenshot guidance (small viewport so features render large), then ran each source through
.github/prompts/beautify-screenshot.ts(flat style, per-feature crop, dither backdrop) andpngquant. - No real data appears: demo automations were created through the real API and deleted after; the real sidebar (28 projects) and sessions list were hidden during capture and verified restored.

Testing
- Image-only change; filenames unchanged so the README references are untouched.
- Verified each image renders correctly (reviewed all 7 outputs at full size).
- File sizes: 126–220 KB each (previous set was 131–200 KB).
