Fix migration order that leaves no fizzy binary
The manual migration steps merged in #2 are wrong in a way that leaves users with no fizzy on PATH. Found by running the real migration on a machine with 3.0.3 installed from this tap.
What happens
A cask will not overwrite an existing bin/fizzy symlink owned by a formula. Installing the cask while fizzy-cli is still linked silently skips the binary artifact — the payload lands in the Caskroom, but nothing links to it:
$ brew install --cask basecamp/tap/fizzy
$ brew list --cask --versions fizzy
fizzy 4.0.0
$ fizzy --version
fizzy version v3.0.3 # still the old formula keg
Then the documented next step removes the only fizzy that existed:
$ brew uninstall --formula --force fizzy-cli
$ which fizzy
fizzy not found
$ ls /opt/homebrew/bin | grep fizzy
(nothing)
$ ls /opt/homebrew/Caskroom/fizzy/4.0.0
completions fizzy MIT-LICENSE README.md # payload present, unlinked
The user ends up with a cask installed, a binary on disk, and nothing on PATH. Recovery is brew reinstall --cask fizzy, which links it correctly now that the path is free.
Fix
Add brew unlink fizzy-cli before the cask install. This mirrors what Homebrew's own automatic migration does — cmd/update_report/reporter.rb runs unlink → cleanup → install --cask, in that order, precisely so the cask can claim the path.
The automatic path was never affected. Only the manual instructions had the wrong order.
Also documented
brew migrate fizzy-cli, which Homebrew suggests in its own migration output, is a no-op for a formula-to-cask move:
$ brew migrate fizzy-cli
Warning: Treating fizzy-cli as a formula. For the cask, use basecamp/tap/fizzy
or specify the `--cask` flag.
It exits without migrating anything. Since Homebrew prints that command to every user on the untrusted-tap path, the README now says explicitly that it does nothing.
Verification
Full sequence run against the live tap and cask on macOS arm64, Homebrew 6.0.13. brew update produced the expected migration warning, the broken order reproduced the missing binary exactly as above, and brew reinstall --cask fizzy recovered it:
$ fizzy --version
fizzy version 4.0.0
$ ls -l /opt/homebrew/bin/fizzy
... -> /opt/homebrew/Caskroom/fizzy/4.0.0/fizzy
