fix(index): add Claude-facing instruction; correct stale persistence claim
Summary
Two-line fix to prevent the silent-failure pattern from real-world testing:
-
Add a "Note for Claude" paragraph at the bottom of the setup callout. When a customer pastes `developers.recoupable.com` with a setup request, Claude is the actual reader of the page — and without `recoup-platform-plugin` installed, Claude defaults to improvising (web search → curl → write credentials to a file). The new paragraph instructs Claude to refuse the improvisation and tell the customer to install the plugin first.
-
Fix "saves it locally" to match what the skill actually does after PR #2 in `recoup-platform-plugin` merged. The key is no longer written to a local file; it's embedded in the memory block (the only persistent surface in Cowork).
Why this matters
In a recent test, a customer asked Claude "Setup my account: developers.recoupable.com/" with no plugin installed. Claude:
- Read the docs
- Ran agent signup itself
- Wrote the API key to `recoup-credentials.env` (a file that doesn't survive the next session)
- Never produced a memory block, never told the customer to paste anything into Global instructions
Next conversation: Claude had no context that Recoup existed. Asked for Willie Colón streaming data, returned Music Metrics Vault scrape data instead of using the Recoup API.
The skill itself is correct now — the issue is that Claude never reached the skill because the plugin wasn't installed. The docs page is the choke point: it's what Claude reads when the customer pastes the URL, and right now it doesn't tell Claude what to do if the plugin is missing. This PR fixes that.
Test plan
- On a clean Cowork session (no recoup-platform-plugin installed), paste "Setup my account: https://developers.recoupable.com/\". Confirm Claude reads the docs and tells you to install the plugin first instead of running signup itself.
- Install `recoup-platform-plugin` from `recoupable/marketplace`, then re-prompt. Confirm Claude invokes the `getting-started` skill.
- Confirm the prose change reads correctly ("and prints a memory block for you to paste...")

Summary by cubic
Add a Note for Claude in the setup callout telling it to ask the user to install recoup-platform-plugin and stop if the plugin isn’t installed, preventing improvised setup and silent failures. Also update the getting-started copy to reflect current behavior: the API key is embedded in the memory block (not saved locally) and the paste path is Settings → Profile → Global instructions.
