Follow-up to #28323 (Open Recovered Draft… opener), for Leo's ask: "HOW THE F*** IS THIS STILL NOT FING CHANGED IT'S LITERALLY "STOP SHOWING FING NONSENSE ON LOAD" + "JUST FING REMOVE THE FING OLD DAMEMONS WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU GUYS FU CKING DOING"".

What

  • scripts/cmux-next/media/tours/open-recovered-draft-palette.json: a tour that shows only the command palette's Commands scope, with "Open Recovered Draft…" selected. It types the query with real palette keys (debug.key target palette) and ends on its shot step, because pr-capture keeps the end state.
  • The shot step asserts what the still shows. A step without expect checks nothing, so its "ok" only meant the step ran. The first capture of this tour showed an empty field and still passed.
  • debug.focus (DEBUG) now reports the open palette: palette.{open, field, query, page, selected, selected_title, ranking, loading}. field is the search field's text as drawn (new PaletteController.visibleFieldText). The tour's expect reads it, since debug.focus is already an allowed read-only postcondition method. The report is read-only: no state changes, and nothing ships in release behaviour.
  • Step 2 is an optional diagnostic: it opens the scope with palette.open --arg query=… and checks that the drawn field shows the query. On the capture it passed. The earlier empty still was a capture artifact: the old tour ended with Escape, and the first Escape clears the field before the palette closes.

Captured at bd10f743's tour on a fresh fixture home (no workspaces, no drafts, no paths); all 24 steps passed, step 23's assertion included. I viewed both after images: one Panes group with one selected "Open Recovered Draft…" row, normal palette row metrics, nothing clipped, light and dark match.
