Leo: "the claw thing should be one single row".

Claude's New Tab composer now puts the folder, computer, permission mode and model in its existing quiet row under the prompt. The location controls keep their menus, accessible names and focus behavior. The Codex tray and non-split templates keep their existing layout. This finishes only the Claude one-row part of the original PR; the look-dot work was already handled by #24944.

Reference matched: cmux-design-references/apps/claude/live/composer-status-row-below.png, Claude Code's quiet controls under the prompt. Our existing colors, type and composer surface stay in place.

  • bun test test/new-tab-composer-layout.test.tsx --test-name-pattern 'Claude New Tab location and model share': failed at base aa82735368f69b31aafcd6666304502a7716bc62 and passed (1/1, zero errors) at fd39dc5e480d8c378eec360b0cc665a3cf5bfb3c in hosted run 40484506257.
  • CMUX_BROWSER_TESTS=1 bun test test/composer-one-row-layout.test.ts: failed against the prior ordering CSS, passed at 171b674c0341cf53db46ee14d992d2f60a375571 in run 40486965661. It checks folder→computer→mode→model order, one centerline and the model's trailing edge at 420/760px.
  • The same hosted production-gallery harness passed 16 base/head light/dark cases. Claude's location/model centerline difference changes 89px→0px; the final model-to-footer right-edge difference is 0px at both widths. Codex retains its tray and measured positions.
  • Final full base-compared web lint passed in run 40486965661, including the full agent-chat typecheck.
  • Scoped vp fmt and vp lint, git diff --check, static pre-push gate: passed. Base-compared scripts/web-lint.sh --base aa82735368f69b31aafcd6666304502a7716bc62 --new-only: passed; inherited type-scale, formatting, lint and protocol findings remain on base.
  • Native app compilation and native dogfood were not run for this web-only layout change. The gallery captures exercise the actual New Tab components.

GitHub updated the branch with a clean merge of base 2181a042a3a11ecab58d61501b233d5101b4e072. The four feature files are byte-identical to the reviewed head; an independent Astra xhigh merge-delta review is SHIP at final head c620b0a48d71cd0e0012d1ddad8fff0fad5fb65a. The PR web shard and react-doctor pass. Aggregate web reds come from base-comparison jobs explicitly checking that base; no changed test file failed.
