Summary

The Release compile of feat-cmux-next has crashed since #23050. swift-frontend dies in EarlyPerfInliner (isCallerAndCalleeLayoutConstraintsCompatible) on the deinit of FirstMouseHostingView, the generic NSHostingView subclass in BrowserDownloadsPopup.swift, and exits 65 with no error: line. #20408 fixed the same crash for other main-actor generic classes; this applies its fix (nonisolated deinit {}) here.

Testing

  • Red: fleet Release build 6237822656e898babf418c5e at ef8ea0564bd failed with While running pass ... "EarlyPerfInliner" on SILFunction "@$s11CmuxNextApp21FirstMouseHostingViewCfD" (BrowserDownloadsPopup.swift:459).
  • Green: fleet Release build d00fbebc5c39c131997a3493 at this head. Its result will be added in a comment.

Observed / Not run

  • Observed: the crash log above. The prepush gate passes.
  • Not run: a Debug build. Debug never hit this crash.

No capture: a Release compiler-crash fix; the app UI is unchanged.
