cmux NEXT: quiet permission chip, like Claude's mode label
Summary
In Full access, the composer's permission chip painted its shield and label in the warning color, so a yellow shield sat in the composer the whole time. Leo asked for it to be quiet like Claude Code's mode label, which is plain muted text.
The chip now draws in the model chip's color in every mode:
- The shield's "!" mark still says the mode skips approvals.
- The menu keeps the warning color on Full access's icon, where the mode is picked.
- The
acpmux-unrestrictedclass stays (the menu andaccess-chip-pending-warning.test.tsxuse it); only the trigger's color rules are gone.
CSS only:
composerLocation.css: the composer bar's resting, hover and open color rules for the unrestricted trigger.styles.css: the pill rail's matching rule.
Testing
- New test
test/quiet-access-chip.test.ts(Chromium and WebKit, gallery stageagent-pane.composer#access-menu), committed before the fix:- With Full access picked, the chip and its shield have the model chip's color.
- The menu's Full access icon still differs from its row text.
- Locally, a headless WebKit probe on the gallery: before, the chip was
rgb(205, 172, 8)next to the model chip'srgb(170, 170, 170); after, both arergb(170, 170, 170). - Not run locally: the browser suite. Its warm-up times out on cosmic-gray under load, so CI's webview shards are the first full run.

Summary by cubic
Quietens the Full access permission chip so it no longer sits in the composer as a warning-colored shield and label. The chip now draws in the model chip's color in every mode; the shield's "!" mark still signals the mode skips approvals, and the menu keeps the warning color on Full access's icon where the mode is picked. Keyboard focus now also steps Full access up like the other composer chips instead of keeping it muted. CSS-only change that removes the trigger's warning color rules while keeping the acpmux-unrestricted class.
Testing
- Adds
test/quiet-access-chip.test.ts(Chromium and WebKit on the gallery stage) asserting the chip and shield match the model chip's color in Full access, and that the menu's Full access icon still differs from its row text.
