Release of four staging commits (cherry-picked with -x from 14e746683, 9c0ce9fff, 772d7c5bd, 93e49491e). This is the follow-up to the CTA audit after #1102.
Marketing site
- feat(docs): add a Sign in link to the navbar. The header's only app link was "Start free". Over 30 days, 34 of the 300 sessions that started on
/registerwent on to/login. "Sign in" now sits next to "Start free" on desktop and in the mobile menu. It opens in the same tab and is tracked asnav_clickedwithnavItem: sign_in. - feat(docs): use one signup label and one demo label. The generic signup buttons used five labels: "Start free", "Start analyzing for free", "Start free, no credit card", "Create free account" and "Try chat free". The hero, compare pages, compare not-found page, compare stats card and demo page now all read Start free. On the compare page, "no credit card" moves into the paragraph above the button. Feature pages keep their outcome labels ("Start monitoring", "Create your first flag", "Start tracking errors"). Demo links read Try the live demo. The "Live demo" badge and the in-page "Load the live demo" button are unchanged because they do different jobs.
Dashboard
- feat(dashboard): name buttons by what they do. In Databunny's goal, funnel, link and annotation cards, the bare "Create" button now names the item ("Create goal" and so on). The two AI-crawler setup buttons read "Track AI reads" instead of "Set up". The forgot-password page keeps "Didn't receive a code?" as plain text, and only "Resend code" is the button.
- feat(dashboard): say Start monitoring wherever a monitor begins. This covers the Monitors header and empty state, the Home monitors section ("Add" and "Create your first monitor"), the Pulse empty state, the monitor sheet title and submit button, and the command palette entry. Adding an existing monitor to a status page keeps "Add monitor". The monitors E2E selectors are updated.
Verification: dashboard and docs tsc clean, Biome clean, dashboard unit tests 207 pass, commit hooks pass. I also searched every test (unit and E2E, including regressions/) for the old labels. The only reference was monitors.spec.ts, which is updated.
