Summary

#2922 removed CHANGELOG.md in favor of generated release notes, and #3593 recreated it. Since then it has made parallel PRs conflict (#3732 three times, #3738), and it adds nothing that the release workflow does not already produce with gh release --generate-notes.

This deletes it and adds it to .gitignore, so git add CHANGELOG.md and git add . refuse it. Only a deliberate git add -f can bring it back.

Validation

  • git add CHANGELOG.md on this branch prints "The following paths are ignored by one of your .gitignore files".
  • pnpm check:affected --run --head 9170fe451d passed, with exactCommit: true and 36 checks.
