Bumps the product version to 0.8.8 in versions.toml, Cargo.toml, Cargo.lock and Formula/wally.rb. v0.8.8 is a free tag.

This release carries five merged fixes:

  • #187: the macOS bottle ships openssl, brotli and zstd in lib/, so a Mac without Homebrew can launch it and wally update works there. v0.8.7 shipped without them.
  • #191: Windows update replaces only release files and cleans up only receipt-owned backups.
  • #193: sessions stay under the 8-image request cap.
  • #197: the harness image gate sends the real API key instead of the placeholder bearer token.
  • #194: wally decisions --json includes the request ID and HTTP status.

Merging with release:patch tags v0.8.8 and starts the release workflow.

Test plan

  • scripts/ci/check-versions.py passes
  • CI on main is green after #191, #193, #194, #187 and #197
  • After merge, auto-tag pushes v0.8.8 and the release workflow starts
