Four PRs from the "video calls with Luke" rollout merged to main by mistake. None of the feature belongs on main until the whole stack is tested on feature/avatar-video, so this reverts them, newest first:

  • #2445 web: LiveAvatar client (b08bc374)
  • #2443 desktop: call video tile (f0e7f2bd)
  • #2441 hosted/desktop: avatar frames on the voice socket and the face's status in app state (497b6b93)
  • #2440 database: voice_avatar_sessions (788889b6)

All four reverted without conflicts, and the commits after them (#2436, #2437, #2442) are untouched.

The migration stays, and a drop follows it

apps/web/vercel.json runs pnpm db:migrate on every build, so 20261013203349_voice_avatar_sessions.sql may already have run in production. Deleting a migration that has shipped would leave the journal and the database disagreeing. So this PR:

  • keeps 20261013203349_voice_avatar_sessions.sql, its snapshot, and its journal entry,
  • removes the schema, model, model test, vocabulary, and package export, as the revert does,
  • adds 20261013210942_voice_avatar_sessions_drop.sql from pnpm db:generate: DROP TABLE IF EXISTS "voice_avatar_sessions" CASCADE;, made idempotent following the db-migrations skill. 20261013153724_plan_section_writers_drop.sql is the precedent.

Nothing on main reads or writes the table once the revert lands, so dropping it in one step is safe. feature/avatar-video will bring the schema back with a fresh create migration that sorts after this drop.

Verification

./scripts/check.sh exits 0. #2443 and #2441 touched desktop UI and app state. This PR only removes that code, but CI builds nothing for the Mac and could not verify it, and no verify.sh run was done for this revert.

Summary by cubic

Reverts the four "video calls with Luke" PRs merged to main by mistake: the web LiveAvatar client, the desktop call video tile, the avatar frames on the voice socket, and the voice_avatar_sessions table. The feature goes back to feature/avatar-video until the whole stack is tested there.

Migration

  • Keeps the voice_avatar_sessions migration, snapshot, and journal entry because builds run db:migrate and the table may already be in production.
  • Adds an idempotent drop migration; the feature branch brings the schema back with a fresh create migration.

Verification

  • ./scripts/check.sh exits 0, but CI builds no Mac target and no verify.sh run covered this revert.
