Pairs with AgentWorkforce/relay-desktop#332, which turns Claude Code direct delivery (crossSessionInbound: "accept") on by default at first-run setup.

  • Step 4 POSTs {"default":true} to /setup/direct-delivery. This applies the same default as the apps: accept only when the human's ~/.claude/settings.json has no crossSessionInbound key. The response carries user_choice.
  • A present key with any value (hold, refuse) is the human's explicit choice. It is kept and reported, and setup continues. The registration and final verification checks accept it through direct_delivery_user_choice.
  • Older desktop builds answer invalid_enabled to the new body. In that case the skill falls back to {"enabled":true}, which is the previous behavior.
  • Managed-policy refusal handling is unchanged.
  • The undo note now explains that {"enabled":false} removes the key, and that setting "hold" keeps delivery off through a later default.

Merge after relay-desktop#332 ships in a release; until then the fallback keeps the skill working on current builds.

Bumps setting-up-agent-relay-desktop to 1.1.6 and aligns the desktop setup skill with relay-desktop’s new direct-delivery default API.

Step 4 now POSTs {"default":true} to /setup/direct-delivery so crossSessionInbound: accept is applied only when ~/.claude/settings.json has no existing key; explicit hold / refuse values are kept, reported, and no longer fail registration or final checks. Older desktops that return invalid_enabled fall back to reading settings locally and the previous {"enabled":true} path.

Verification, webhook/GitHub injection notes, and the final status report now account for direct_delivery_user_choice and treat a kept opt-out as setup-complete (with different guidance for hold vs refuse). The undo section documents that disabling direct delivery writes hold on current builds.
